Repeat

Another beautiful morning, though a bit chillier than yesterday

Summer continues

Well, yesterday did indeed set a new record at 91 degrees. And I don't think there was a single cloud all day. Today is similarly clear, though it's expected to be cooler and only in the low eighties.

Hard to believe it's nearly October

It's hard to believe it's nearly October. The days are shorter and the nights are cooler, sure, but the forecast is for it to be over 90 degrees today!

Summer Hangs On

Despite the fact that it's now officially fall, summer continues to hang on. Besides the shorter days and cool nights, there's nothing to indicate that it's fall at all.

Back to clear

Yesterday cleared up pretty quickly and turned into a beautiful day. And as the clouds cleared over the mountains it revealed a very thin dusting of snow above 13,600 feet on Mt. Evans.

Cooler

Well, yesterday ended up overcast and rainy before long, which surprised me. And it was cool overnight and I woke up to clouds. It doesn't seem like it from this picture, but there are fairly thick clouds over the mountains and to the north and east. Hopefully it's warmer today, but I'm wearing a fleece today for the first time in a while.

Still summer

A cooler morning than yesterday, but still beautiful and clear. It was another day of record warmth yesterday, and we're getting big temperature swings to achieve them--40 to 50 degree differences between low and high temperatures for the day.

Summer's Still Here

Well it was quite autumnal on Saturday, with cool temperatures barely reaching into the 70s and the first measurable precipitation in over a month at DIA (though still only 0.02 inches). And Sunday morning was down into the 40s. But the sun came up and crushed the old record high by three degrees--it was 96. And this morning is quite warm, the warmest morning in quite a while.

Just like yesterday

This could easily be the same picture as yesterday, though it's not. It's just another beautiful late summer day in Colorado. This really is the most beautiful time of year.

Clear

Yesterday evening it actually rained for a bit just after I went to bed, the first rain I've experienced in weeks. Today is lovely, as you'd expect.

Interesting Clouds

It's a crisp fall morning, on its way to another in a long string of pleasant days.

Clear and Pleasant

Another beautiful day that starts without a cloud in the sky.

Clear and Pleasant

Another beautiful morning here.

Warmer Morning

This morning is much warmer than yesterday, and the smoke situation over Denver seems to have improved, as evidenced by the color of the light.

Cool Morning

This morning is cooler than anything we've had in quite some time; the low was in the forties last night. Today will still be fairly warm, though, with temperatures into the low 80s.

The light this morning is rather different due to the smoke in the air from the Boulder wildfire.

Fall is coming

It continues to be beautiful, but the mornings have a distinctly crisp fall feel to them. This weekend looks like it will be quite warm in Denver--low 90s--though I won't be here since I'm heading out to the San Juans after work today for a four day backpacking trip.
