Beautiful

I've completely run out of adjectives to describe all of these beautiful days.

Warm and surprisingly cloudy

This morning is quite warm but also surprisingly cloudy. It's likely to clear up though.

Friday, August 27, 2010

Clear but breezy

It's a rather breezy morning, but again quite clear. And I'd imagine that this afternoon will be like the past two afternoons: beautiful clear skies with barely any clouds.

Beautiful

It's another beautiful morning, just like yesterday. Yesterday was so beautiful that I saw only a few small clouds all day, and even those just disappeared. It's a very pretty time of year here.

Clear again

Yesterday morning was like Reykjavik with bigger buildings, but by 1pm it did something very un-Icelandic: it cleared up. By the time I went home a bit after five the skies were just like they are this morning, totally clear. And it was nice and cool, too. Today will be much warmer, I suspect.

Reminds me of Reykjavik

It's in the mid-50s, grey, and spitting drizzle from time to time. Reminds me a lot of Reykjavik!

Monday, August 23, 2010

Not sure what to call this one

It's cooler than yesterday, but still quite warm. It should top 90 today, but not by as much as yesterday. Should be cooler starting tomorrow though.

Pleasant yet again

Three pictures today, just for fun. The clouds are interesting this morning, I think. But the temperature right now is just delightful.

Thursday, August 19, 2010

Warm Morning

Those clouds stuck around most of the night, so it's quite warm this morning. If, as I suspect, those clouds go away then it will be quite hot today. Yesterday was very nice for a day when it was in the low to mid-90s

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

Clear and warmer

Warmer today, on its way to the mid 90s. Yesterday was simply gorgeous with pleasant temperatures and hardly any clouds.

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Clear and Crisp

It's quite crisp for an August morning, but the clouds are all gone. The sun was out off and on yesterday, but it was mostly cloudy.

Monday, August 16, 2010

Cloudy and Humid

This is pretty much the only blue patch in the sky right now, though the clouds have only been building for a while now. And it's quite humid this morning as well.

Friday, August 13, 2010

Holy Ghost

Another perfect morning, likely to be followed with another lovely day.

Thursday, August 12, 2010

Different View

It's not even as cloudy as this view would have you believe. Yesterday never got unreasonably hot, though today is warmer than yesterday morning, so perhaps that will happen this morning. Lovely weather overall this week.

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Clear and pleasant

This morning is a very nice temperature, though it's supposed to get quite warm later today.

Guess who's back

Well, I'm back in Denver, the first time I've had truly pleasant weather in nearly two weeks...

Columbia

Low Library at Columbia University

NYC

Soho, New York City. It's really hot and humid today and I've walked all over this city.

Black Sand

Black sand beach near Vik, Iceland, from Wednesday

Thursday, August 5, 2010

Hot Springs near Hveragardi

This pool was a nice geothermal 100 degrees or so, despite the air temp of 55ish. It was nice and undeveloped and we relaxed in there for 45 minutes or so.

Glacier

Solheimajökull Glacier with Eyjafallajökull (the notorious Icelandic volcano) behind.

Waterfalls

Skógafoss, Iceland.

Cathedral

The cathedral in Reykjavik. The view from the top of the tower is quite nice, though I wish it had been clear so I could have seen the mountains better.

Reykjavik Harbor

Reykjavik Harbor just after dinner. It's nearly 10pm here and still about this light out.
